The Entrepreneur Of the Year Awards, the world’s most prestigious for business achievement, honor the spirit and contribution of entrepreneurs here and around the world, recognizing those individuals who excel at growing and sustaining market-leading businesses.

Today’s entrepreneurs continue to fill a critical role in the success of the Canadian economy, said Ernst & Young today while unveiling this year’s finalists for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards. “Entrepreneurs recognize opportunities others don’t and are passionate about business,” said François Dufresne, Director of the Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards program for Québec and an Ernst & Young partner in Montréal. “We truly admire their inspiring ambition and unconventional vision. The Québec winners will be announced at a banquet on October 23, 2008, the winner will represent the region at the national banquet in November, and the overall winner will go on to the international award.
