Quebec, Canada, November 1st, 2007 - Distech Controls, a leading manufacturer of building automation solutions, in collaboration with Control Tech Supply, an authorized Distech Controls open solution provider, sponsored the 2nd Annual ACIS Charity Golf Tournament benefiting the Special Olympics of Texas. This tournament took place on October 12th at Westridge Golf Course in McKinney, Texas.

For its 2nd edition, the Tournament raised $5, 000 US, with all proceeds going to the Special Olympics of Texas, a non-profit charitable organization established in 1968. The Special Olympics of Texas provides sports training and athletic competition to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The competition and training offered to the athletes with disabilities, allow them to stay active while developing their social skills and strengthening their relationship with their friends and family. The Special Olympics of Texas received the support of many other organizations such as the Council for Exceptional Children and the American Association on Mental Deficiency.

While the organizers of the Tournament, ACIS, an HVAC integrator and client of Control Tech Supply and Distech Controls, are satisfied with the overall success of the event, they are already planning to make it even more profitable for the charity next year, as they are hoping to increase the number of attendees considerably.
